This type of treatment is good for those with androgenic alopecia, which is more commonly referred to as male-pattern baldness or female-pattern baldness. It is also recommended for those with alopecia areata, which is an auto-immune condition. It is less effective in conditions like lupus that leave scalp scarring because hair follicles are unable to be reactivated with scarring. It may also not be the choice if you have inflamed skin due to suppressed immune system or psoriasis.
